Sheldon High School in Eugene has produced exactly the kind of quarterback college programs chase — Justin Herbert walked these same halls before the Rose Bowl and the Chargers. Ryker Rohaley is the next 2028 prospect trying to write his own version of that story, and he's not waiting around to do it.
Rohaley transferred into Sheldon from Willamette and won the starting job as a sophomore — a rare jump at the 6A level, where most QBs wait their turn. He didn't ease into it either. In an October 2025 win over South Salem, he played through illness and a broken wrist and still threw for nearly 400 yards in a 44-23 victory. That's the kind of toughness coaches can't coach.
At 6'1 and 177 pounds, Rohaley has the frame to keep growing into a Power-conference build, and the athletic testing backs up the projection: a 4.73 forty, a 29" vertical, a 9'6" broad jump, and a 4.3 short shuttle. He reports leading his league in completion percentage at 71% — a number that points to the accuracy and decision-making that translate at the next level.
The classroom matches the field. Rohaley carries a 3.7 GPA and a long history of academic recognition, the profile of a player who makes a program's compliance and admissions side easy.
He's a 2028, which means there's runway. Coaches who get in early on Sheldon quarterbacks have been rewarded before.
